Outreach & Welcoming Ministry
God’s work does not end in the parish on Sunday morning with Divine Liturgy. Rather, participation in the Divine Liturgy is meant to give us the energy and grace necessary to do God’s work every day of the week, especially when we are outside of the church. As Orthodox Christians, it is our obligation to share our spiritual treasures, our truth, our light, and our joy with those who do not have these gifts. We must take our faith outside the church walls and minister in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Outreach within our church is important as well. Nearly every Sunday, we are honored to welcome visitors to pray with us the Divine and Sacred Liturgy. We take care also to welcome them to stay for our fellowship hour following the Liturgy.
Each of us bears the responsibility to use our God-given talents to fulfill the words of our Lord, “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:16). Our Outreach & Welcoming Ministry can provide you with the opportunity for training in sharing the Orthodox faith, ongoing education in the Orthodox faith, personal spiritual growth, and to participate in community service projects that allow us to reflect the love of God to all.
